Massie Hotel

Known during Our Years as the Beckett Home

Charles Baxter Photos

One of the first of three hotels in Athens, the Massie Hotel became the Beckett Home. It adjoined Roy Beckett's Gulf Service Station. Both the house and service station were destroyed to make room for CVS. Demolition of the old hotel, store, and service station are covered in overlapping photos in this chapter.
