Drive-In Restaurants

Kenney's was perhaps the first fast food chain to serve Athens and the surrounding area from it's restaurant near the intersection of Route 20 and Route 460.

A favorite on old Route 460 near the Turnpike entrance, with famous Poor Boy sandwiches (and even a beer).

Bill's Drive In was located at the corner of Mercer and 5th Streets, shown in the upper middle of this aerial.
