With its origin in the 1920s, Jimmies operated through our years, later closed but was revitalized in 2022.

Oliver's Supper Club

A special bring-your-own-bottle event on New Years Eve, complimented beer, pizza and dancing.

The Hinton Dairy Queen built in 1953 is remembered for great chili dogs and its own special menu items. Although owners have changed, its still open and enjoyed 70 years after construction.

Tilt Tavern

A small public house operated just north of Athens along Route 20 that was popular with locals and college students.

Initially an ice cream bar at 1327 Mercer Street, it eventually became an old time tavern.

Built in 1932, the Green Tree Tourist Court and Restaurant was popular in the 1960s.

A popular tourist court with cabins in the 1930s and 1940s, the restaurant operated on US19-20 and 460.

A family restaurant, named for its dining room paneling, was located on old Route 460 near the Turnpike entrance.
